Building Upgrade Guide

#1
As with any guide this thread is subject to change:
Keep in mind this is still a WIP as I have yet to test the % of each ore in a level 3 mine.

Although some may see this guide as redundant, as upgrade costs are seen when hovering over the building icon in the building management section of the clock, I decided to make it anyway to help those who wanted to upgrade the same building multiple times in a row, and help people see what comes with the upgrade, although another guide mentioned below covers the war buildings' upgrades already.
Also, I wanted to put in to perspective the amount of time and effort that people, especially emperors put in to create their islands, as I have seen members of an island hate on other members and give resources away to attackers out of spite (although I don't have any personal experience of this myself, I dislike seeing others acting like that).

Upgrade Mechanics: Upgrades cost resources in the form of stone, wood and time, and only one upgrade can happen at once, including the destruction of structures.
Upgrades progress while the island is loaded, but not in the 60 seconds of preparation an island has for war. These 60 seconds are also the only time where you cannot start upgrading structures.
The upgrade progression is shown by a bar just above the exp bar, which flashes every 1/2 percent, but if it goes up every 1/2 a percent within 30 seconds then the bar is permanent, unless overwritten with exp gain from mining or chopping. This bar is split into 20 parts, so each one represents 5%, allowing a visual representation without looking at the building itself (added on to the percentage displayed just to the left of it), but you can also see the actual building being constructed where it was placed, from the bottom up.
Although you may be able to go into the mine/logging camp while it is still upgrading, you are unable to mine/chop wood (when the mine is upgrading it still starts bottom up so only once it reaches at least 80% is there a possibility to enter it, this percentage is dependent on its level as well, it will most likely be higher at higher levels as the mine gets deeper).

Total Costs (again: Stone, Wood, Time):
(for the purposes of shortening this 'th *' refers to the 'Town Hall level *' while 'max' refers to the point at which you are only able to upgrade the Town Hall, as everything else has been fully upgraded/already built)
max th 1: 678, 752, 140 (2 hours and 20 mins)
from max th 1 to max th 2: 2922, 3148, 425 (7 hours and 5 mins)
from max th 2 to max th 3: 13115, 12585, 740 (12 hours and 20 mins)
from max th 3 to max th 4: 32085, 27715, 1355 (22 hours and 35 mins)
Total Cost of everything: 48800, 44200, 2660 (1 day, 20 hours and 20 mins)
all you need is 100,000 resources and 2 days! ez!
(however without help you can only get a max th 4 in 3 days as a lvl 4 mine only produces 55k resources each day, and you dont start off with one, and thats not to mention wars)

As some may have figured out these results don't quite add up, as the theoretical limit to the wood per hour is much higher, eg in level 4 the wood/hour is 3300, when it could be a max of 3600 (1 wood per second as you have 12 logs and a 12 second re-spawn time), if you are able to supply results higher than 92% efficiency (for level 4) in an hour could you please let me know your methods and I will update this along with the post about how to mine/chop efficiently and credit these changes to you, the same applies to any other level of logging camp (the theoretical wood per hour for each logging camp is: 1600, 2025, 2571, and 3600 for level 1, 2, 3 and 4 respectively). Also, keep in mind that these results were tested alone, proving that there is no need for more than one person in the logging camp (a pet hate of mine is when 2 people are at it and only I'm in the mine).

These figures come from personally testing with only me in the mine to limit factors affecting these figures, as such they are rough estimations due to my luck/unluck in the testing.
Methods:
When testing the % of each ore I tried to mine a couple hundred blocks (250 for level 2 mine, 400 for level 4 mine (with level 3 having not been tested)), and document it as a simple text document filling it with either Cs, Is, Gs, Rs or Ls whenever I mined a block, I then I used a simple code to limit the human error when counting each letter in this text, and then rounding it to the nearest percentage.
For the stone/hour I simply mined for 15 minutes then multiplied it by 4 and rounded it to the nearest 50, to ensure it was fair I decided my starting point in each of these tests would be the point of teleportation to the mine every time, and I used a stopwatch to ensure accuracy within the 15 minutes. I am not commenting on wood/hour as even though I used a similar method,as it is less of a problem as the outcome of what you chop is consistent for each one, and they are in the same place each time, unlike ores.
